The Platinum Fashion Mall is a 5 billion baht shopping mall in Pratunam. Specialized in fashion clothes and accessories retail and wholesale. The clothes shops operate on the principle that buying 1 piece is a retail sale and warrants retail price, but buying 3 (or more) pieces is wholesale and you get the wholesale price. The construction of the first subway line in Bangkok, officially known as Chaloem Ratchamongkhonor informally as the “Blue Line”, began on 19 November 1996. The project had several delays, not only because of the economic crisis in 1997, but also because of the challenging construction in underground structures deep in the water, the land on which the town is built. Opened July 3, 2004.

The monument was erected in June 1941 to celebrate the Thai “victory” in the French-Thai War, a short conflict against the French colonial authorities in Indochina, which resulted in Thailand annexing territories in western Cambodia and northern and southern Laos. Areas of the Kingdom of Siam that they been forced to

give up to France in 1893 and 1904, and patriotic Thais considered rightfully belong to Thailand.

WAT TRAIMIT AND GOLDEN BUDDHA is about 900 years old and is cast in the Sukhothai style. When the Burmese were about to sack the city, it was covered in plaster to hide it. In 1957, when the image was being moved to a new temple in Bangkok, it slipped from a crane and was left in the mud by workmen. In the morning, a temple monk, who had dreamed that the statue was divinely inspired, went to see the Buddha image. Through a crack in the plaster he saw a glint of yellow, and discovered that the statue was pure gold. World’s largest solid-gold Buddha, nearly 10 feet high and over 5 tons.
