Previous KnowledgeBasic level courses:Delegates should have anengineering background,understand the basics of PLC'sand be competent with the useof PC's and Microsoft Windows.

Delegates without PLCknowledge should considerattending ‘E311, Introduction toProgrammable LogicControllers’.

Intermediate level courses:Delegates should have a goodworking knowledge of usingthe equipment or haveattended the Basic level coursefor the particular PLC system.

The Basic Maintenance and Troubleshooting course equips maintenanceand service personnel with the essential knowledge and skills to maintainand troubleshoot S7 PLC systems.The course covers a more complex range of S7 fault finding skills formaintenance and service personnel and gives practical experience ofmonitoring and understanding more complex code using advanceddiagnostic tools and techniques.This course enables individuals to understand existing PLC code, use thefull range of STEP7 diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and analyse abnormalsystem or machine performance and write their own PLC code for newprojects.

The Basic Maintenance and Troubleshooting course equips maintenanceand service personnel with the essential knowledge and skills to maintainand troubleshoot S5 PLC systems. The Intermediate Maintenance and Troubleshooting course covers the mostcommonly used supplementary instructions and gives practical experienceof interpreting, monitoring and understanding typical, but more complexcode as well as using more advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.

The Basic Maintenance and Troubleshooting course equips maintenanceand service personnel with the essential knowledge and skills to maintainand troubleshoot SLC / MicroLogix PLC systems.The intermediate course develops and builds on the basic course toprovide a comprehensive coverage of enhanced program and diagnostictools and techniques.

The Basic Maintenance and Troubleshooting course equips maintenanceand service personnel with the essential knowledge and skills to maintainand troubleshoot PLC-5 PLC systems.

The Basic Maintenance and Troubleshooting course equips maintenanceand service personnel with the essential knowledge and skills to maintainand troubleshoot AB ControlLogix PLC systems.The intermediate course familiarises personnel with the higher levelfunctionality of ControlLogix processor hardware, instruction sets, I/Omodules, communications options and system operational features withenhanced diagnostic ability using RSLogix 5000. Accessing, monitoring andtroubleshooting networked ControlLogix PLC's is also covered

Part 1 is for new users with Mitsubishi PLC's and software. It covers thefirst-line maintenance and troubleshooting skills needed to be able tosupport and troubleshoot simple applications.Part 2 provides attendees with a structured approach to fault-finding,shows how to relate the learning to their own site systems and shows howto ensure that the benefits of the training are not lost through lack ofpractice.Part 1 is aimed at the beginner with Mitsubishi PLC's and software and willcover the first-line maintenance and troubleshooting skills needed to beable to support and troubleshoot simple applications.
