DESCRIPTION

This Grade II Listed building extending to some 45,000 sq ft was formerly Southwark Councils offices until it was acquired by Hollybrook in late 2012. The building was constructed in 1928 as part of Bermondsey Town Hall. It is an impressive and imposing building containing a wealth of interesting architectural detailing including a magnificent triple height entrance foyer. Consent was obtained in late 2012 to convert the building to provide 41 loft-style apartments. The development is located in the heart of the fashionable Bermondsey area and a short walk from both Bermondsey and London Bridge Underground Stations. The conversion works commenced in late 2012 and is now complete.

Built between 1928 and 1930 this incredible landmark building was originally known as

Bermondsey Municipal Offices. Hollybrook has carefully restored this magnificent Grade II

Listed building, retaining many fine period details including architectural detailing to the

triple height entrance foyer, an elliptical dome, with stunning rooflight, supported on

coupled columns, detailed marble and terrazzo flooring, brass torches and glazed bricks.

The building has featured in the long-running TV series, ‘Spooks’ and in the film

‘Hereafter’, directed by Clint Eastwood and Steven Spielberg and starring Matt Damon.

Now with a new lease of life with our creation of a fabulous collection of studios and 1, 2

& 3 bedroom apartments, many with mezzanines, Bath House Lofts future is assured.
