Since- little has been done on the ground to transfer many of the subjects to the body. GTA “received” ₹1,500 crore from the State and the Central governments in the last five years. But refused to file the accounts- TMC asked for a “special audit” Sikkim gifted Darjeeling to the East India Company in 1835. 1907 - of Darjeeling, “a separate administrative unit” was demanded. Abandon its wishful thinking that short cuts can solve the intractable Gorkhaland issue.
