About Randy Goruk  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Randy is a 1974 graduate of Civil Engineering Technology from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. His 26 ‐ year career with Trus Joist Corporation started with an entry level design technician reporting to Claresholm, Alberta and concluded in Atlanta, Georgia where he was the Senior Vice President of North American Operations. 

As an executive and part of a dynamic senior management team, his hands‐on contributions and leadership on change initiatives, drove sales growth from $60 million to $1 billion annual revenue, which led to the company being acquired in 2000, by Weyerhaeuser. 

Additionally, his extensive experience includes the following awards, opportunities, and 

challenges: 

“Outstanding Salesman of  the Year” awards on his path  from  technical draftsman  to senior management  

President  of  Canadian Operations  and  creator  of  the  “Canada  Gold”  program,  a company‐wide  growth  initiative  that  effectively  transformed  Trus  Joist’s  (TJ) Canadian  business  to  profitability  by  empowering  and  engaging  his  teams  and employees  in the process
