I do believe the disconnect between the two is that even though we desperately desire to weigh significantly less than we do, we're unable, or unwilling, to generate the lifestyle choices required to perhaps not gain weight in the very first place. As a culture, we appear to desire to live a of culinary abandon and eat everything we want and then have the ability to buy a skinny body without fuss or muss. As circumstantial evidence, I point to a current report in the New York Times. Put another way, our species has developed over tens of thousands of years and has survived more than a few issues along the way. Typically, we ingest way too many carbs, too much red meat, and too much sugar. We do not eat

not exactly enough fruits, veggies, whole-grains, or fish. Rather than planning our own dishes,

we too often head off to the nearest junk food supplier. Rather than training, we lay on our

couches and watch others play games.

And then wonder why we gain weight!

In the end, you do not need any 'miracle' treatment, you need

to exercise more and eat less. Not only will you be healthier,

you will also spend less.
