($24.69, Required) Biblia Hebraica Stuttgartensia (BHS) (paperback: $26.39, Strongly Recommended) Brown-Driver-Briggs, Hebrew and English Lexicon ($23.07, Strongly Recommended) About the instructor: Dr. Gary Martin received his Ph.D. in Near and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Washington in 2007, focusing on the transmission history of biblical Hebrew texts. He also has a B.A. in Physics- Astronomy (Whitman College, 1975), B.A. in Classics (University of Washington, 2001), M.A. in Near Eastern Languages and Civilization (University of Washington, 2003), and has taught biblical Hebrew and other courses relating to the Hebrew Bible and ancient Near East at the University of Washing- ton since 2002.
