Big Idea: There is Power in Prayer
Bible Verse: And whatsoever you ask in My name, that I will do,
that the Father
may be glorified in the Son. John14:13
Materials: Glove, wrapped gift
Message: Does God always answer our prayers? Yes, he does. We
may not see
receive the answer we want, but He is faithful to answer.
Sometimes, he says,
no and sometimes He says, Yes. There will even be times when God
says
wait We do not like to wait for things. Do we? When you know
your parents
have a special present for you, and you see it all wrapped so
nicely on the table,
do you like to wait. Would you rather open it right now?
There are ways to remember all the many things that God wants us
to pray about.
Take a look at this glove. You may use your hand. Lets give each
finger a name. 1-
family; 2-church; 3-country; 4-missions, and last of all finger
5-ourself.
If we memorize these five finger names, we will have a lot to
pray about. God
does hear and He has great power to answer every big prayer as
well as every
small thing in our lives. He is powerful!
Lets say the names of our finger prayers together. 1-family;
2-church; 3-country;
4-missions, and 5-ourself.
