Big Sky Summer Adventure Itinerary General Trip Summary

This is an adventure-filled trip to Big Sky Resort, home of the Basecamp to Yellowstone. It includes a custom itinerary packed with an assortment of activities unique to Big Sky. Please contact our Concierge at 406-995-5806 to request your own personalized itinerary for a summer getaway to Big Sky Resort.

Day One:

9:00 am Experience the Lone Peak Expedition. You’ll ride to the summit via chairlift, expedition vehicle, and tram with a guide to point out different areas, sights, and more. Arrive to the top where you will take in the ultimate 360-degree scenic view from 11,166 feet. From here, you will see two national parks, three states and the Tetons. While you are taking in the views, keep an eye out for Billie and Nanny Goats that call Lone Peak home.

Noon Enjoy lunch at Montana Jack located in the Plaza. Here you will enjoy a wide selection of 100 microbrews with an irresistible roster of specialty burgers.

2:00 pm Combine classic link-styles golf & the stunning natural beauty of Big Sky country for a golf experience like no other: the award-winning scenic 18-hole par 72 course at Big Sky Resort. Our Arnold Palmer course is 6500 feet above sea level, offering longer drives & spectacular views.

6:00 pm Dine at The Bunker Bar & Grill at the clubhouse while taking in the magnificent views on the vast

outdoor deck. You’re just in time for Happy Hour! And if it’s Monday, join in the fun for Burger Night. Keep your eye below the deck where the neighborhood moose wander.

Day Two:

9:00 am Meet your guide at Basecamp to take in the new Adventure Zipline. Ride up, zip down, on this tour which is designed for speed. Embark on the Explorer Double Chair, and take in expansive views of Lone Mountain and the Spanish Peaks of the Madison Range. Once you’re at the top of the chair, let the zipping begin! Swoop your way down the mountain on four adrenaline pumping lines spanning up to 1,500 feet long and 150 feet above the forest floor, including a Twin Zipline where you can race your fellow adventure zippers.

1:00 pm Enjoy a casual lunch at the Montana Smokehouse, an outdoor eatery located in the Plaza. kiosk with

The Smokehouse serves burgers, chicken sandwiches, pulled pork, BBQ brisket, and kid-friendly foods. Let your nose lead the way to the aroma of smoked barbeque which abounds in the plaza.

2:00 pm Stop by Basecamp to enjoy more family fun activities such as putt-putt golf, the rock climbing wall and

bungee trampoline to mention a few.

4:00 pm End your day relaxing in the Solace Spa located in the Mountain Village. Treat yourself with the

Gallatin River Hot Stone Massage where native stones are used in combination with 100% pure melted Shea Butter to deliver the ultimate sensory experience. Add personalized aromatherapy to enhance your relaxation. Afterwards, indulge in the High Altitude Hydrating Facial to nourish your skin with this intensely hydrating facial.

7:30 pm Dinner at Chet’s Bar & Grill, located in the historic Huntley Lodge, is a perfect end to your day. The

Huckleberry Ribs are always a hit! Day Three: 9:00 am Head over to the Carabiner Lounge, where you can enjoy a sumptuous breakfast to start your day. 10:00 am After breakfast, it’s time to start hiking! Join in the guided hike on the Moose Tracks trail. Wildflowers,

roaring streams, distant snow-clad peaks, and clean, crisp mountain air all surround you while hiking at Big Sky Resort. Learn more about the area while your guide points out the Rocky Mountains’ flora and fauna.

12:00 pm Ride up the Ramcharger lift and lunch at Everett’s 8800. Here you can take in the magnificent views

on the wrap around deck. New this year is our Adventure Mountain where the Challenger Kids Zipline, Smokejumper Giant Swing and Gemstone Mining are located for all to enjoy.

2:00 pm Now that you are warmed up, head on over to Different Spokes Bike Rental where they will fit you to the right mountain bike. Load your bikes and ride up the Ramcharger, Explorer or Swift Current chair lift and take in the many trails for all skill levels.

6:00 pm On your final night, it’s time to really treat yourself! Dine at the exquisite Andiamo Italian Grille

located in the Plaza. Enjoy tantalizing Tuscan entrees with wonderful kid friendly options. Don’t forget to leave room for Tiramisu!
