Your child is a STAR, Student Taking Academic Responsibility, he/she works harder than you can believe in my class. I hope you enjoy watching your child grow personally and academically. Please take the time to talk to your child about what he/she learned this week about psychological disorders and treatments (anxiety, personality, mood, schizophrenia, psychoanalysis, therapies, and/or biomed). In just a simple paragraph, please tell me about your discussion with your child.

Mrs. Hall’s Classroom Newsletter I look forward to working with all of you this year to hopefully make this your child’s most productive year. I am sure all of you are wondering a little about me. Well, I received my bachelor’s degrees in History and Political Science from Coastal Carolina University. I then went on to earn my Masters in the Art of Teaching with a focus in Social Studies from Coastal. I also hold a Masters in Educational Administration. I spent a year at Clemson University working on my Doctorate in Educational Leadership. My family and I moved here last year, so I have continued my doctoral work at the University of South

I have the most wonderful family who I love dearly. I have the MOST supportive husband in the world, Jeff; I have two little boys Parker, 5, and Payton, 3.

I want you to rest assured that your child has now become one of my children. I will love and care for him/her as if he/she was my own. In my classroom, I believe in something more than the content. I know what it feels like when a teacher does not care about my child, and I know the feeling of a caring, warm, supportive teacher. I prefer the latter. With that said, as a parent I am sure you know that even when you love your child as much as you do there will be disagreements or misunderstandings. This may or may not happen; but know that I will have that unconditional caring no matter what.

Parent Form I am sending home a parent form that I would like for you to fill out and have your child return. Please take your time on the form and think deeply about what you want me to know about your child. Sometimes the relationships formed in the classroom can mean just as much as the content.
