(DUO D A N C E S H O W D O W N)DYNAMICS:

The competition is open to all YFC members.

There should be one entry per Sector.

Entry forms in hard copy must be submitted to the CompetitionsCommittee on or beforeJULY 8, 2011.Late entry forms will notbe accepted.

The entry may be composed ofeither 2 brothers, 2 sisters or apair of a brother and a sister.

The contestants will dance (duo freestyle) for two minutes to themusic provided by the Competitions Committee. No stunts will beallowed. The contestants must be adept in any genre of dance(i.e., jive ballroom, lyrical, hiphop, broadway, contemporary ormodern jazz music, etc.).

It is the duos responsibility to report at the Competitions tableon the day of the conference (from 8AM- 9AM only) forconfirmation and briefing specifically on their order ofperformance.

MUST be at the designated area near the stage 15 minutes priorto the start of the Creative Competitions proper. The

Competitions Committee has the right NOT TO ALLOW thegroup to perform if they FAIL to attend the practice and tocomply to the call-time.

DYNAMICS:

The competition is open to allYFC members.There should be one entry per Sector.

Each dance group must be composed of 8-12 members. Three (3)points per person will be deducted in excess or in deficiency ofthis provision.

Entries must also be composed of MIXED dancers brothers andsisters (there should be more than 1 sister/brother in a group).

Ten (10) points will be deducted for non-compliance.Dance type shall be modern-contemporary and/or combination

of this AND traditional/classic dance types as long as they areexpressed in the character and vibrancy of todays youth. (Ballet &cultural will not be considered unless they are mixed with and dancedto contemporary pop and youth culture styles of dance and musichiphop, techno, etc.)

It is important that the music to be used for the competition besubmitted to the Competitions Committee on or before July 8,2011. Failure to submit the music will result to a ten (10) pointdeduction and will have to use the songs that will be provided

by the committee.Songs should be contained in a UNIQUE CD containing only the

groups music.

Music and dance should be wholesome and lively. Subliminal, sexuallysuggestive, and vulgar lyrics/language (eg. Peaches and Cream,Sex Bomb, Too Close, Careless Whisper, etc.) will not be allowed.Lyrics of the songs must be submitted along with the entryforms.

Costumes must be decent and proper for the dance. Failure to

comply would result to a ten (10) point deduction or even notallowing the group to perform.

Movements should NOT be vulgar or sexually suggestive.
