• Biovet was founded in 1984 by a group of veterinarians and chemists with an extensive experience in clinical practice and in the manufacture of pharmaceutical products, additives and vaccines; developing a new concept of veterinary company.

Symposiums • BIOVET’S NTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM

– On an annual basis, we organize a symposium at our headquarters in Tarragona. This specialized symposium on developing is an event where Biovet presents the results of R & D to introduce new projects, products and developments.

– To spread our knowledge throughout the world, we celebrate another symposium and forums in other geographical areas. This is a good opportunity to share experiences and learn new problems and potential solutions.

• BIOVET’S RESEARCH AWARD – Every year, Biovet celebrates a prize to promote field research on technological additives.

These awards are given in collaboration with the Veterinary College of Tarragona, the Academy of Veterinary Sciences of Catalonia and the Royal Academy of Veterinary Sciences.

• PARTICIPATION IN CONFERENCES – Biovet SA regularly collaborates with associations of poultry and swine, participating in fairs,

exhibitions and conferences. Besides the participation in conferences as ANAVIP, AMEVEA, IPPE Atlanta, VIV Asia ...

Our quality policy is the framework for the establishment and

revision of the objectives of food safety, and it promotes at all

levels of the organization the following commitments:

• Comply with all legal and regulatory requirements on food

safety

• Ensure that facilities and equipment are in proper condition

• Encourage the involvement and participation of our

employees through training to ensure food safety.

• Ensure that hazards and critical points of our HACCP system are

identified, assessed and controlled in such a way that they can not

jeopardize the health risk of the processed product.

• Ensure traceability of the final product.

• Ensure the maintenance of a system of effective communication, both

internally and externally, on issues related to food quality and safety.

• Establish annual objectives of quality and food safety, with periodic

revisions thereof, thereby continuously improving the system

• We are focused on providing solutions to enhance the main pathologies, considering their effects on health and their impact on productivity and economic performance

• Product development is carried out jointly with universities around the world. Together with the products, we aim to provide practical solutions focused on improving performance parameters and health. By practicing necropsies and analysis, or with the combination of these, we get zootechnical highly effective programs.

• Biovet, S.A. is a research-based company and very focused on continuous improvement of formulations and the development of new products.

• At the beginning, 30 years ago, research began on the farm and with the results observed, the product was developed in the laboratory.

Thanks to the investment in R & D, we have the first global patent for a single molecule: SILICOGLYCIDOL

(1988).

- It forms strong and effective bonds with mycotoxins, thus, they pass through the digestive system without being absorbed. - It promotes digestive epithelium regeneration. - It is effective at low concentrations.

Biovet S.A. has two distinct groups of preservatives according to their mechanism of action :

Cimenol ring Perforates the cell wall of bacteria, fungi and yeast; thanks to the help of weak acids, with the consequent cell death.

Combination of acids Reduce the intracellular pH of bacteria, fungi and yeasts: •Interfering with aminoacids and phosphates transport system. •Inactivating the enzyme activity.
