    Cali"ornia bearin! ratio were ealuated# %arious percenta!e o" Rice husk

    ash and Fly ash hae been used to improe the en!ineerin! properties o"

    expansie black cotton soil# &ne in!redient at a time has been mixed with

    soil and index as well as en!ineerin! properties hae been determined#

    $he optimum content o" each in!redient has been mixed to!ether and the

    same properties hae been ealuated# 't has been concluded that li(uid

    limit ) plastic limit o" soil is reduced by addin! o" any in!redientindiidually# Howeer the improement in shrinka!e limit is not

    substantial# $he standard proctor perimeter are in"luenced ne!atiely i#e#

    density /*001 is reduced "rom +#2+ to +#2 !m3cc# $he 4 alue decreases

    "rom +5 to +6 and Cohesion alue is increases "rom 6# to + k!3cm7 usin!

    RHA $he 4 alue is decreases "rom +5 to +8 and Cohesion alue increases

    "rom 6# to +#+ k!3cm7 usin! "ly ash# $he CBR alue increases "rom +#7-

    to 9#:8- usin! Lime, it increases "rom +#7- to+#26- usin! Fly ash and

    +#7- to +#26- usin! RHA# $he CBR alue is +7#28- at combination o"

    rice husk ash and "ly ash# $he ;CS alue increases with increase in

    percenta!e o" rice husk ash and Fly ash# Swellin! pressure is decreases at

    di""erent percenta!e o" Fly ash#

    Coe""icient o" permeability is decreases at di""erent percenta!e o" Lime and

    "ly ash#
