A WORD FROM THE FOUNDER

We’ve come a long way from the early days of making holsters and knife sheaths in my garage. As a father, my dream was realized when my son Bryce took over the role of President of BLADE-TECH™ in 2008. On behalf of Bryce, the entire BLADE-TECH™ crew and myself, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your continued support year after year. It has been especially rewarding to be able to work side by side with Bryce. He has done a remarkable job leading the company and has proven not only that he has what it takes to steer BLADE-TECH™ into the future, but there is a reason why his life was spared nearly 21 years ago.

July 4th, 2012 is the anniversary of the jet skiing accident that nearly took Bryce’s life. For those of you that don’t know, this is the accident where Bryce was nearly decapitated. He was jet skiing when the towrope from a ski boat towing an inner tuber ripped through his throat severing his larynx, trachea, esophagus and vocal chords. He wasn’t expected to survive the night. Not only did he survive, he is completely healed. The only reminder left of the event that tried us in the fire of our faith is the scar on his throat and a raspy voice. Bryce is truly a living testimony to the active power of prayer!

Even with the downturn in the economy, BLADE-TECH™ continues to grow. I am happy to report that in 2011 we had our ninth consecutive record setting year. A large part of achieving this is due to our growing in house sales team. A team that includes some very knowledgeable and long-term staff.

You will continue to see more great changes from us in 2012. Our operating space will expand into the adjacent building to allow for more production capacity. This will allow us to house new equipment and bring on additional staff with room to grow. This new space will also give us room for our acquisition of EGNIS, a USA sewn goods manufacturer, formerly known as RIT BAG. We are very excited to have Trevor Shaw and his crew, which bring an existing field proven line of fire and rescue gear to BLADE-TECH™. Soon you will see the results of ‘out of the box thinking’ in a new BLADE-TECH™ line of tactical and outdoor sewn goods that will be internally designed, developed and launched. In addition, we are pleased to announce that we have a new production location in Oklahoma where we are producing premium USA leather goods.

BLADE-TECH™ is proud to be an American manufacturing company providing gear to those who go wherever duty calls them. These brave men and women go into harm’s way, fighting the fight for freedom and liberty! We are eternally grateful to them for serving our great country at home and abroad. WRS (Weapon Retention System) HOLSTER LEVEL II

Our WRS has a spring loaded hood that allows it to spring forward when released.

The hood is activated by pushing the lever to the side which mimics the movement of a standard thumb break system. It does not require double movement for weapon presentation.

You push the thumb-lock inward toward the body to release the hood. The WRS allows for easy securing of the weapon after being returned to the holster by simply rotating the hood back over the weapon.

The WRS Holster comes with our DOH attachment and is available with our different belt attachments. Also available with weapon light.

WRS WEAPON RETENTION SYSTEM DUTY HOLSTER

• First disengage the level III retention by rotating the lever in a forward motion.

• Next, disengage the level II retention by pushing the release hood lever in a lateral motion toward your body using your thumb, while the hand achieves a master grip on the gun while still in the holster. This fluid motion releases the retention hood from the back of the weapon.

• With both levels of retention disengaged, the gun is ready for a swift, precise draw if needed.

This Level II Duty Holster is compatible with all of our belt attachments. A thumb break is used for the secondary retention feature and snaps in the open position for out of the way unencumbered re-holstering.

The WRS Level III DUTY HOLSTER is designed to mimic the traditional standard thumb break that is in use on our standard Level II holsters, but with the extra measure of security required to have it certified as a Level III holster.

The WRS allows for easy securing of the gun after being returned to the holster by simply rotating the hood and lever cover back to their locked, upright positions. GEN 2 MOLLE-LOK™ is a redesign of our original MOLLE-LOK™, but with a flexible pull tab, making it easier to manipulate and attach gear to tactical vests and plate carriers. There is no need for any special tools to open the new locking mechanism, simply grasp locking pull tab and manipulate to remove. This new locking system is reusable and failsafe which is demanded by our US Military forces. The new BLADE-TECH™ Molle-Lok Gen 2 is manufactured in two sizes that can accommodate large or small accessories.
