4. Remove the drain plug with the washer from the
rear of the engine block on the rear side near theoil filter.
Coolant remaining in the engine jackets
will flow out of the plug hole when the drain plugis removed.
Retain the drain plug in case theengine block heater is
removed.
5. Install the engine block heater with the aluminumwasher into
the bolt hole using a 24 mm socket.
Torque the engine block heater to 60 Nm (44 lb-ft).
6. Plug the connector of the heater harness into the
engine block heater, and route the heater harnessover the
engine. Secure the heater harness to the
vehicle harness with one wire tie in the areashown.
7. Route the heater harness along the vehicleharness, and secure
the heater harness to thevehicle harness with the three wire
ties.
