ICAS Writing Congratulations to Aaron Howton and Madeline Hatfield in Year 4 for their fantastic results in the writing paper for the University of New South Wales!! Well done kids! Morning Movement The Morning Movement program has recommenced. This program involves 10 minutes of physical activity for all students first thing in the morning. Our Year 5 and 6 students are doing a wonderful job instructing and acting as peer leaders to the younger students. The senior students are developing invaluable leadership skills and learning to work as part of an instructional team. It is pleasing to see some strong leaders coming through in both Year 5 and 6. The pictures below show some of our student leaders with their group. Miss Thompson

Year 1 Assembly Item Friday, 26th August 2016 At next week's assembly, all of Year One are taking a step back in time as part of their history unit, “The Past in the Present”. Students will be performing a traditional Australian song and re-enacting a historic process that has changed over time. Hope you can come and enjoy our performance and get a feel for life in the Australian outback. Last Weeks Assembly Item Last week 3/4J presented their very own Australian edition of Family Feud with star host Damien Denyer. The feud was a tight battle between the Smith family and the Simpson family, with the Simpson family taking the honours. In the end it came down to the Fast Money Round and Lara and Tyler just claimed the 200 points for the Simpson family and they walked away with $10 000 cash! Well done to both families and thank you Damien Denyer for taking time out of your busy schedule to visit Boambee Public School.
