    With a wine bar atmosphere, Chatham Hill Winery & Event Venue is not located on a vineyard, but instead offers a fantastic pairing of classic modern design and convenience. We thank you for considering Chatham Hill Winery & Event Venue for your special event. The Winery is located in the heart of the Triangle and offers you, the most rare and special venue in town.

    The Chatham Hill Tasting Room features an Art Gallery displaying the work of local artists, a stunning marble top Tasting Bar and a wonderful open floor plan. Follow the double doors from the Tasting Room into the Winemakers Barrel Room where you find yourself among stacks of French and American Oak Barrels full of our award winning wines aging to perfection. With soft lighting and versatile set-up options, this area of the winery is perfect for private dinners for up to 25 guests or is most often coupled with the Tasting Room Art Gallery for larger receptions, accommodating 100 seated guests;80 with a dance area. The winery can be rented as well.

    Wedding Pricing at Chatham Hill Winery Facility Rental Fees

    Monday-Thursday: Starting at $1,000. Friday/Saturday/Sunday: Starting at $1,500. Ask about our lower fees in January, February and March. December weekends are prime season for events therefore expect rates to be higher. Interested in a Rehearsal Dinner? Slightly different rates apply Ask us.

    Facility rental includes (weddings):

    Exclusive use of the Tasting Room, Tasting Room Gallery and the Winemakers Barrel Room for up to four hours

    Set-up & breakdown of the winerys tables and chairs and winery clean up following event One hour of set-up time prior to event and one hour for breakdown/cleaning Free parking

    Fees exclude:

    Table linens, china, glassware, flatware, centerpieces Catering, wine, other beverages, additional tables and chairs Winery staff and (wine purchase minimum required) Event planning activities, e.g. setting up special tables, photos, coordinating vendors.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Q: How many guests can the Winery accommodate?

    A: Much depends upon how you and your caterer determine the set up. Our capacity is:

    125 Reception Style

    100 Seated at Tables

    80 Seated at Tables with a Dance Floor.

    We offer the Winemakers Barrel Room for Buffet and Food Stations which adds a whole other dimension to the event. Even the actual Winery may be rented for a very urban feel.

    Q: Do you have on-site catering?

    A: We do not have catering on site. The Winery works with a number of highly reputable preferred caterers that are committed to the same quality standards as the Winery. On special request, Chatham Hill may consider working with a fully licensed, full service caterer to service your food and beverage needs outside of this list. Inquire if this is a concern.

    Q: Do you have an on-site Wedding Coordinator/Event Coordinator?

    A: It is required that you hire a Wedding Consultant/Event Planner to assist with your planning and day-of execution. Often times your caterer will fill this role. This role is not included in the venue fee. We can offer these services, however, fees do apply.

    Q: At what times can I hold my event?

    A: Saturday evening events may not begin until 30 minutes after the Winery has closed to the public at 6:00pm and they must conclude by 12:00am. Events on Sunday-Friday can begin at 5:30pm. Exceptions can be made and will be discussed on an individual basis.

    Q: What type of alcohol may be served?

    A: Chatham Hill Wines are the only wines that may be served during your event here at the Winery. Beer is available but liquor must be arranged for through the caterer. We do allow Sparkling Wine to be brought in by your caterer for the toast.

    Q: Do I have to rent tables, chairs, and linens for my event?

    A: Included in the rental are the Winerys tables and chairs, consisting of 11, 36 by 36 square tables that seat 4 guests each. We can also provide a several 8 foot and 6 foot tables for food set up. Additional items may be rented. We do not provide specialty linens, china or flatware. Your caterer will gladly assist you in coordinating these rentals.

    Q: Can I offer my guests a full wine tasting?

    A: Of course! This is what sets the Winery apart from Wine Shops and other venues! Chatham Hill Wine Educators have a wealth of knowledge with regard to wines in general and Chatham Hill wines in particular. They explain the process of winemaking here at Chatham Hill while showing the winery equipment. The wine tasting includes a tour of the winery as well as guest will take home their CHW Souvenir Wine Glass. Inquire about involving Chatham Hills Winemaker and Owner, Marek Wojciechowski, Ph.D., for your event.

    Q: What do I need to do to reserve my date?

    A: Sign and return a Contract and pay a 50% deposit after meeting with the Winery representative. The deposit amount is based upon your expected number of guests and desired services. We also require a Credit Card Authorization Form be kept on file.

    Preferred Service Providers We have carefully chosen and partnered with the Triangles most experienced and professional service providers for your event here at Chatham Hill Winery. We aim to give you, our client, plenty of creative room and flexibility in your planning ranging in all styles and budgets.

    After a conversation in which you explain your needs, expected outcomes and budget for your very special event our Facility Manager will suggest vendors that can best meet your needs. Your event is extremely important to us and we know that finding the best partners in which to carry out your wedding or rehearsal dinner is the most important decision there is after, I will. Through our long standing relationships with our vendor partners you may be assured of an impeccable event. We will hand you off to trusting hands OR you may opt to leave it all to us your choice!

    Caterers - From local cheese, crackers and fruit all the way to sophisticated plated and served at tableside Wine Dinners paired with incredible foods and wines.

    Party Rentals - Looking to give the room a pop? We work with the finest rental companies that can provide additional tables, exquisite linens, china, and room and table florals or decorations.

    Photographers, Videographer and Audio Visual Equipment - Meetings during the day or evening, we have basic AV equipment but have available to us, through our AV supplier, whatever your heart desires. You can even have your event photographed or videoed.

    Florists - Most of our caterers are skilled and equipped to assist with your decorative needs. Nonetheless, we can bring in the most lovely florals and decorations you can imagine.

    DJs and Musicians - How about dancing or just having background music for your event? From rock your socks off to blue grass, classical or jazz, we can hook

    you up with the best in the Triangle.
