Bowling Green Music is at its peak. It is exists in this college town and it is evident all over. The people here love to listen and play music. Bands from all over the country come to play music in this town. Not only do bands come here but the city produces its own musicians and bands. Developing bands such as Sleeper Agent, Morning Teleportation and the famous Cage the Elephant. Music is booming and luckily there are plenty of venues that are showing off the talented bands. There are such venues like Rockys, Tidballs, Twisted Tap and Hilligans that provide this college town with the music it desires. This city is just full of musical fun.

An up and coming bar that everyone is talking about in Bowling Green is Rocky’s. With graffit tagged all over the wall from artists in the area the envirnonment is per-fect the grunge/punk music scene that takes place in Bowing Green. The bar is known for putting on a good shows and providing the “hipster” crowd of people with alcohol.Bands from all over the country stop by here to play shows and it is said to be a great time.

A local bar that is located.in the heart of Bowling Green one block from West-ern Kentucky University’s Campus is Hilligans. This bar is definitely the college bar to hang out full of Greek life after parties.Not only is there pizza and beer but there is music. Local artists whether they be in college or just an artist down the street wanting to get their music played Hilligans provides them with a place to do it. Every weekend the bar has locals in and perform. Not only does Bowling Green have some of the best local venues but they have music festival that is getting attention across the nation. Starry Nights music festival is something to get excited about. Featuring some of the most relevant artists in music getting together to play one heck of a festival. People from all over attend this festival, especially from surrounding cities like Louisville and Nashville. Such artists like Manchestor Orchestra, Justin Townes Earle, and Portugal The Man have all performed at this awesome music festival. Another cool feature about Starry Nights is that it allows for local musicians and bands to participate and put their name out there, while giving them the chance to play with some epic bands.This is the perfect event to put the city of Bowling Green on the map. It is apparent that Cage the Elephant loves this city and feels they owe the people of Bowling Green. Music is booming here and Starry Nights is just another example of the movement that is taking place in this fascinating music culture.
