BRASS QUINTET
Audition for brass players
Schmechel Music Productions International (SMPI) is openeing an
audition sequence for all advanced brass players who are interested
in playing in a brass quintet formation.
The aim of the audition is to find five matching musicians
forming a new brass quintet in the Milan area for a concert series
in Italy and Germany in late spring. If interest arises, this
quintet may remain as a constant Milan-
based ensemble later on, in that case a second concert sequence
is available for the North of Germany in August.
This is a great opportunity for brass players interested in
quintet music. The entire audition is sponsored by Schmechel Music
Productions International. All scores for the first concert
series and brass quintet coaching will be provided at no cost
for the entire rehearsal period for the concert preparation.
However, to cover organizational costs, each auditioned member
that is accepted into the ensemble will be asked to submit a 50,--
Euro registration fee at the first rehearsal. Scholarships for
outstanding players are available.
All rehearsals will take place in Milan. If you are interested
