This web page was helpful in figuring out how to detect breast cancer in men. This article says that men will find lumps, usually hard to move, and if the cancer is more aggressive then the skin on top of the lump will be irritated. This site was helpful because it gave me new and interesting information about cancer. It is also helpful because it tells the reader what to do if they do find a lump. The article says that the reader should see a physician, so that they can tell whether or not it is cancerous and find out if they have a history with cancer. This web page is credible because it is written to the public by a doctor who is familiar with the disease.

This article is helpful for my project because it gives me another view on my project. It tells me more about the recovery portion of breast cancer after treatment or surgery. For instance, the recovery process is different for everyone who has breast cancer, or any other type of cancer for that matter. There are different types of emotions that can occur after such as: anxiety, fear, insecurity, depression, uncertainty, embarrassment, guilt, anger and more. The article goes into further detail about the recovery process and follow-up care. This article is helpful because it gives me new information that I don’t already have, and need for my project. This article is credible because it is written by people who understand the after affects of cancer. These people being doctors and/or therapists. Having such credible people writing this article makes it a better source to use.

This web page is very helpful in finding information on breast cancer and details about it. The print outs show statistics about the disease and show the chance of getting it, and the amount of survivors. This web page also lists risk factors that make it more likely for a person to get breast cancer or get symptoms of it. Some of the risk factors include: “age is the most important (after gender). The older a women, the greater her chances of developing the disease.” The page also gives risk reductions. All in all, this is a very helpful resource. I know that it is a credible site because it is from Health Professionals who know about the disease and have been working with it.

This web page was interesting and shocking, it was all about men and how they can, in fact, get breast cancer. Most men don’t get regular screenings because they don’t believe that they can get breasts cancer. Lucky for them it is extremely easy to detect breast cancer; unfortunately it is a more aggressive form of the cancer. This web page was helpful because it gave me a new view on cancer and the people that it can affect. I know that this page is credible because it is by a doctor who deals with this disease.

This article was especially helpful to me and my project. It explains the disease and breaks it down for the reader. This website has specific headings to direct the reader to the area that is most needed or most desired. This page gives specific dangers and symptoms, such as women who exercise more are less likely to get breast cancer, and that not all women will get noticeable symptoms. I feel that this page will give me a lot of information needed for my project, and help me to understand the disease more as I continue to read. I know that this website is credible because it was reviewed by an instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School.

This web page was helpful in understanding different types of mammograms and what they do. It also tells what the mammograms look for and how false negatives can occur and what is actually happening with a false negative. For example a false negative can be given because of the fatty tissue, and high breast density. Dense parts of tissue and tumors both appear white on mammograms. This web page is also important to for my project because it helps me understand what a mammogram is and what it is doing. The page is credible because it is from the national Cancer Institute, and is written by people who know the disease very well.

The information on this site is helpful because I want to get more awareness out and this will help me understand what goes on with breast cancer. It will also help me to understand the process of mammograms and the information I need to know. This web site is credible because it is by the Jefferson University Hospital, and is written by people who know what they are doing and talking about. This website gives diagrams and information about mammograms and the cancer.

This article was extremely helpful for my project and understanding the different types of surgery and what they mean and do to/for the cancer. Some of the types of surgery are “breast-conserving” meaning that the doctors are trying to save the breast and not just remove the entire thing. While Total mastectomy is when the doctors remove the entire breast, along with the cancerous cells or tumors. There are other types of surgery like this such as modified radical mastectomy and radical mastectomy. There are also surgeries that only remove a portion of the breast, this is called: Partial mastectomy. This article is helpful because it gives me more information, and goes in depth about the surgery and what each type means. I know that this article is credible because it is written by doctors and those who are very familiar with the disease. Another reason that the source is credible is that it is written by/for the National Cancer Institute.

With that being said it does show that some treatments will be pointed in AMGEN's direction. This web page gives background information about cancer, what it is, different types, and treatments. This web page is mostly intended for those who want to know more about the illness, whether they have it or someone they know does. This article talks about the different terms and definitions that will be heard when dealing with cancers. It gives multiple words describing tumors, if they are cancerous our not, and different types of cancers. The article also helps by giving different types and options for treatment. Some of the terms consist of: metastasize, benign, and malignant. These words are helpful to understand cancer, and give a bit of background on what doctors find and know. This article was useful in its definitions, and separate page to help make the page less cluttered. The site helps with my project because now I can compare and contrast the different types of cancers and treatments. I learned a lot from this site, I learned new terms, types of cancers, and treatments. I think that it will help me tremendously throughout my project.
