Brilliant Trails offers an extensive range of exciting trail options for the tourism sector in Northern Ireland and United Kingdom.

Brilliant Trails Ltd was established in 2015 to offer an extensive range of exciting trail options for the tourism sector in Ireland and the United Kingdom. The company offers experience based tours which drive travellers to locations of interest. Often these locations are not frequented by most visitors to Northern Ireland so the company has been successful in attracting a wide range of global visitors. Brilliant Trails has won several awards for innovation in its approach to customers. Whilst delivering these trail we realised that community groups had a lot to offer the visitor, working with the groups we find them a funding streams, which in turn allows us to deliver various products for each location.

Community Tourism brings many benefits to the local area, successful community tourism can be mutually beneficial for both the locals and the visitors.

Brilliant Trails design treasure hunts based on walking, cycling & driving trails throughout the UK & Ireland. We write our trails in the style of a treasure hunt, following a set route around a location, solving clues as you arrive at key sites and having a brilliant day out discovering our hidden past. Having designed trails for the BBC, Woodland Trust, Stena Line and many others. We are confident that our products will enhance a visitor’s day out at any location.

Our social responsibility seeks to expose the enormity of health benefits that are associated with outdoor sensory experiences and stimulation with nature, as well as delivering a cultivating experience. We therefore integrate these matters into the creation of all our products and services.

Brilliant Trails offers trailored services and products to meet

bespoke trails according to your specifications, while focusing

specific niches. At Brilliant Trails we believe that it is important

codes (QR), near field communication (NFC), augmented

reality (AR) to the latest iBeacon products.

We have designed over 30 event trails, from Teddy Bears Picnic

to Easter Treasure Hunts, we intend to make sure that the

visitor will always find more than what they are looking for.

Community tourism invites visitors to explore their

community. It enables the visitor to discover local habitats

or wildlife, and celebrates and respects traditional cultures,

heritage and wisdom of the area. It provides the opportunity

for the local community to empower themselves with new

opportunities and development which in turn provides

support to local business. Community based tourism works

towards receiving the most from tourism in a sustainable

manner through maximising the benefits of the local area

while minimising any negative impacts.

Community Tourism brings many benefits to the local area,

successful community tourism can be mutually beneficial for

both the locals and the visitors.

Portadown Heritage Product offers an educational and

historical based tour around local landmarks. With the

development of a quiz based app, a pop up museum and an

interactive booklet engaging with the visitors to understand

and experience the culture around the local area.

Benburb heritage trail offers families the engagement with

an interactive booklet on wildlife and biodiversity around the

area, taking visitors from one point of the site to the next. The

trail offers and educational experience for the visitors.

SENSORY PRODUCTS

Brilliant Trails delivers to a diverse range of audience, including

autism and disabled groups. The main fundamental of sensory

products is understanding our consumers needs. The core

sensory products interplays with the immersive environment

of the outdoors, creating unforgettable experiences. A key

element of a sensory project is to use the design and creative

process as a vehicle to engage people with their senses. The

product spans across the full breadth of sensory experiences,

including tangible items, folklore, and visible signage. The

entire programme is made up of inter-generational learning

experiences, with the opportunity for groups to share their

experiences with one another.

Slieve Gullion Forest Park, Sensory Trail is designed to consider

all senses and aims to create pockets of sensory features.

Our intent was to enhance all aspects of the site to make it

a sustainable and rich enviroment full of information and

activities for the consumers. Brilliant Trails aimed to encourage

visitors to return to the site, and , amongst other things, to

improve their physical fitness.

Hydebank College project focused on regenerating an old

rundown area outside the College. Brilliant Trails introduced

a sensory and educational trail around the area to attract

community tourism for a positive and informative experience.

With the era of developing new technology, digital appications

allows for endless opportunities to engage with a wide

targeted audience and allows for content to be updated on a

regular basis.

Colin Glen Trails is an android and iOS mobile app which

allows visitors to navigate interactively around the Colin

Glen Forest Park through a series of educational games and

augmented reality compatibilities, allowing for more possible

interactive opportunities.

Sloan’s House, Loughgall indoor mobile application takes

consumers around the history and stories inside the museum

with built in ibeacon to open countless opportunities for

interactivity between iOS devices and iBeacon hardware.

Cannock Chase Distrist, Staffordshire, mobile application

offers a directory of locations to its consumers. The app takes

consumers around historic landmarks and the local beauty

spots, enhancing the existing Museum of Cannock Chase for

a large target audience.

Brilliant Trails ideologies focus on creating new innovative

ideas for visitors. Galgorm Castle Fairy Trail explores the

magical scenic grounds of the castle, the aim was to

encourage families and friends to enjoy a day in the outdoors.

We understand that we are now in an era of digital technology,

and its easy to spend leisurely time just sitting in the one

spot for hours on end with a gadget in hand. Therefore

reintroducing an experience that required nothing more than

yourself and your imagination was a priority for us. As well as

breathing life into a local location , bringing more tourism into

the town of Galgorm.

The fairy Trail and Eco Trail at Galgorm Castle is interactive

and promotes problem solving, social development and

stimulation with nature. As a company, we seek to stay on top

of innovation and development of any trails so there is always

something new or different to offer.

GALGORM CASTLE FAIRY TRIAL & ECO TRAIL

Brilliant Trails offers a guided service around the Balmoral

Show for all primary schools and special need groups.

The interactive guided tour offers school children an

understanding about food and agriculture in Northern Ireland.

The day is packed full with educational resourses with

supporting materials full of activities.

This interactive guided tour will last approximately 1 hour

30mins. The guide will lead your group to each interactive

point and provide support to your group while attending

the Show. The school rates provide excellent value for money

and getting into the show is easy with a coach drop-off and

parking on site. Brilliant Trails aims to make the school trip as

stress-free as possible for everyone.
