GUIDELINES
Rider Development is an event specifically designed for the novice rider and those new to the sport of Para-Equestrian Dressage. Although run as a competition, it offers a perfect intro into Para Dressage competitions with an emphasis on a rider’s training and development.
The Competition
1) Riders will first ride the test relevant for their grade.
2) Riders will then be trained by a Para Coach for 20 minutes and marked on their ability and response to the training and advice given.
3) Feedback session with the Judge, to give tips on how to get the extra marks for your test riding in the future.
4) Q&A education session based on the written test paper to give you more under pinning knowledge about the sport and to help you develop your technical ability.
The competition is Judged and assessed by a leading Judge and Coaches, who are all very experienced in training and developing Para-Equestrian riders. The marked sections of the competition are the training session, ridden test and a written test paper the score from which are combined to give a final score which will determine the overall champion of all grades.
Written Paper
To be sent out with entry confirmation. Please send them back to the office before the 13th of April.
