On behalf of the organising committee, we cordially invite you to the 3rd Annual Conference of BIARGS to be held on the 6th‐7th September 2012. Building on the success of our two previous meetings, the 3rd Annual Conference is set to reflect the most up to date advances and address challenges in this rapidly evolving field; we promise you an exciting scientific and social program Video demonstration on Technical steps, intricate procedure description, trouble‐shooting and perioperative considerations in Robotic surgery are a few examples of this informative programme. How can Robotic surgery programs and training progress within the context of a stretched National Health Services? What’s on the horizon for robotic surgery in gynaecology and gynaecological oncology? These are some of the challenging questions to be answered during the conference. Interesting debates as well as breakout sessions for doctors and nurses will ensure everybody is engaged throughout what promises to be two very exciting days. This conference will be held in the heart of the vibrant city of Manchester with its renowned heritage sites, shopping centres, football clubs, and readily accessible international airport making it an ideal location for an enjoyable and memorable professional and social gathering. Social Event and Dinner A great opportunity to have a private guided tour to Manchester United Football Club. The first half
will “kick off” with a drinks reception held in the museum with a life time chance to a visit to the sacred
TROPHY room which lets you share in every timeless victory. At half time you can join a guided tour to
the changing rooms and the grounds. During the second half there will be a three‐course meal
overlooking the pitch to complement this pleasurable evening. Extra time will be available in the bar
provided that there are no red cards issued so we all make it through to the next round of science on
the following day!
This event is open to all delegates plus any accompanying person(s) who can attend at the negotiated
subsidised rate of £50.

From the M61 join the M60 following signs for Manchester Airport. Then join the M602 (signposted Salford). Follow signs for Manchester Airport onto the A57. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit (A5103), after approximately one and a half miles take a left at the traffic lights into Wilbraham Road (A6010). At the 4th set of traffic lights, turn left into Chancellors Way. Chancellors Hotel and Conference Centre is situated on the left hand side opposite the Armitage Sports Centre.
By Road from the South
Leave the M6 at Junction 19 (Knutsford), turn right onto the A56 and follow signs for Manchester Airport. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit for the M56 (Manchester). Take right hand lanes to the end of the motorway and join the A5103 ‐ keep forward (signposted Manchester City Centre). By Train from the City
Long distance trains arrive at Manchester Piccadilly Station. Either take a taxi (approx. 15 minutes) or take a five minute walk to Piccadilly Gardens Bus Station. Short distance rail service depart from Manchester Oxford Road Station and Manchester Victoria Station.
By Plane from Manchester International Airport
Manchester International Airport is approximately 5 miles from Chancellors (about 20 minutes by taxi).
If you wish to take the train from the airport there is a 24‐hour service which runs 7 days a week, every 15 minutes during peak times and goes direct to Piccadilly Train Station. From the station either take a taxi or take the short walk to Piccadilly Bus Station and catch one of the many buses that follow the route to Wilmslow Road Fallowfield.
By Bus from the City
Take a bus numbered 41, 42 or 43 from Piccadilly Gardens Bus Station to Wilmslow Road, Fallowfield. Walk to the junction with Moseley Road and turn left. At the next set of traffic lights turn left into Chancellors Way and the hotel is on your left, opposite the Armitage Sports Centre.
