Lee & Associates is proud to present you with Bronx Commons—a mixed-use development in the Melrose section of the Bronx.

Bronx Commons is the last undeveloped plot at the 35-block Melrose Commons Urban Renewal Area, located east of Yankee Stadium. The complex is also home to The Bronx Music Hall, a state-of-the-art, 14,000 square-foot event space with seating capacity for over 300 people. The 12-story, 305-unit mixed- use development at 443 East 162nd Street with 22,818 square feet of retail space is located on the corner of Brook and Elton avenues in the South Bronx.

Bronx Commons’ total Gross Building Area of over 426,000 square feet is scheduled for completion in 2019. The project is currently underway by the co-developers: The Women’s Housing and Economic Development Corp (WHEDco) and BFC Partners.

Bronx Commons will contain a central courtyard, green roof, and large, landscaped public plaza with an amphitheater for social events and space for green markets. The exterior will be a canvas for large and small-scale artwork.

The Bronx Music Hall will be a state-of-the-art venue where Bronx residents and visitors from around the world can connect to music and dance through high-quality shows and exhibits. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore Bronx music history and understand its lasting legacy and contributions to today’s popular music, as well as actively participate in music and art making.

At 14,000 square feet, the Bronx Music Hall will feature flexible performance space with seating for 300 people. The space will also house a permanent

interactive exhibit that connects visitors to the history of Bronx music, rehearsal and classroom spaces, gallery space for temporary or traveling exhibitions, and an outdoor plaza for recreation and open-air performances.

The Bronx Music Hall will be programmed 7-days a week year-around. Naturally, the Bronx Music Hall will complement the retail at Bronx Commons by attracting before-and-after theatre guests to this destination.
