[NOT AVAILABLE IN UO LIBRARIES] A Chinese film producer’s journey to retrace the steps of Xuanzang, 7th century Buddhist monk who made an 18 year journey to India and back to China in search of the source of Buddhism. Fabulous blend of history, art, sociology and personal search.

RAINBOWS APPEAR: Tibetan Poems of Shabkar, Edited by Mattieu Ricard, Calligraphy by Jigme Doushe, Shambhala, Boston, 2002. [AVAILABLE IN SUMMIT] Buddhist poems by Shabkar (1781-1851), a Tibetan on a spiritual quest. Timeless short verse.

The following are all by Gary Snyder, American Buddhist poet, born 1930. He studied in Japan at a monastery and knows the Chinese classics.
