Bugs Bunny Hat

These Looney Tunes faces can be

made on full body figures. For these instructions, make a standard

body with 260 arms and legs and four 260 bubbles in the body. Use a

350 for the hands, feet, and a 350 bubble for the tummy. Looney

Tunes have oversized accents so always upsize the features.

A

Inflate a 260 grey, leaving 3" uninflated. Create a soft 1" pinch twist, then a 7" bubble, then another soft 1" pinch twist.

Twist four more 7" bubbles, attaching each one back to the alternating pinch twist. Cut and tie the extra balloon.

Inflate a white 260 at least 20" for the eyes. Attach the nozzle to the first pinch twist from Step A. Twist a 7 ½" bubble and attach it to the second pinch twist. Create another 7 ½" bubble and attach it back to the first pinch twist.

Arrange the seven bubbles you have in three rows. From front to back, the two whites in the front, then a row of two grey, then three grey in the back.

Blow up another grey 260 at least 25". Wrap the nozzle around the second pinch twist from Step A. Squeeze the balloon to make it a little soft. Twist a 7" bubble and run it between the eyes and attach it to the pinch twist.

Twist a 7 ½" bubble and run it on the outside of the middle row from Step D and attach it to the pinch twist.

Repeat Step F on the other side of the head.

Take the remaining grey from Step G and the remaining white from Step C. Squeeze them out soft. Twist a 1 ½" bubble in the grey and a 2 ½" bubble in the white. Attach the two twists together.

Repeat Step H, attaching the two bubbles back to the base of the face. Rotate the four bubbles so the grey bubbles are on top. Cut and tie the extra grey balloon. Cut off the very end of the white balloon and run the rest through the middle of the four bubbles, attaching it at the end.

Inflate a white 260 at least 6". Twist two 2 ½" bubbles, then cut and tie the extra balloon. Tie the two ends together for the teeth.

Tie the end of the teeth to the middle of the uninflated scrap of white in the muzzle. Pull the two whites of the muzzle apart and stuff the teeth into place.

Blow up a pink 260 at least 2". Wrap the nozzle around the front of the muzzle. Create a 1 ½" pinch twist. Cut and tie the extra balloon.

Inflate a 350 white at least 15" for a cheek. Attach the nozzle to the base of the muzzle. Twist a 5" bubble, followed by a 7" bubble. Wrap the end of the second back to the base of the muzzle. Cut and tie the extra balloon.

Repeat Step M on the other side of the face. Position the cheeks so the 5" bubbles are on top.

Inflate a grey 260, leaving 1 ½" uninflated. Make a 1" pinch twist. Attach the pinch twist to the pinch twist on top of the head. Pull the end of the balloon down and attach it to the pinch twists.

Inflate a grey 260 for the second ear, leaving 2" uninflated. Tie the balloon into a ring and attach it to the pinch twists from Step O.

Q

Position the ears so one pinch twist is in front and the other is at the back. Put a twist in each ear just under halfway around. Give one ear a little bend about two thirds of the way up from the head.

Inflate a grey 260, leaving 1" uninflated. Measure a ring around the persons head. Wrap the nozzle around this point. Make a 1" pinch twist, pulling the nozzle into the twist.

Create a twist halfway around the ring. Attach this twist to the base of the Bugs Bunny head. Take the remaining balloon from Step R and attach it to the top of the Bugs Bunny head at the back of the ears.
