THE CHALLENGEAs a leading advisor on climate change and sustainability RPS is committed to finding the most economical and sustainable solutions for its own operations and has challenging targets to ensure delivery. Although not a preferred supplier at the time, Burnt Tree Vehicle Rental had responded extremely well to ad hoc requests so when the time came to review its fleet plans RPS approached Burnt Tree with its requirements.

Burnt Tree was tasked by RPS to propose a solution that would meet its carbon emissions targets, reduce vehicle down-time, improve service delivery and provide excellent value for money.

BURNT TREE’S SOLUTION

Our team conducted a review of the existing RPS fleet profile, taking into account the activities and demands being placed on the vehicles.

Initial findings identified a number of potential opportunities where smaller, more efficient vehicles could be utilised to carry out identical tasks.

THE RESULT

As an independent company Burnt Tree is not limited by the suppliers it can work with so identifying and sourcing a more suitable option was simple.

Since the initial proposal was submitted RPS have taken delivery of 100 vehicles on a three-year contract and continue to work in partnership with Burnt Tree to identify further opportunities.

With a total fleet in excess of 800 vehicles there is huge scope for future development and to date Burnt Tree have delivered over and above expectations on all aspects of the initial brief.
