Introduction

Assalamualaikum. very good morning to all my fellows and to the lecture sir Rafiqi, today our group

would like to present a Drama about Business Ethic in halal and haram. Firstly we would like to

introduce our self.

Hai my name Han Im as the storyteller behind the scene,

Im Aishah as Mak Jemah

Im Efa as the Kedai Runcit Owner and the 1st Customer

Im Atik as Joyah and the 2nd Customer

Im Aidel as the husband of the Customer and the Snatcher

Starting

Our Drama about Business Ethic in halal and haram will showing you how the sustenance that come

from haram way will cause the wrath of Allah subhanahuwatala from this drama we will show you for

example how Allah guidance His servant that has deviated from the path of truth. This drama is only for

the lesson have no relevance to whether living or dead. And now enjoy the show

Ok this is Mak Jemah she is a single mother with 2 children. Since the death her beloved late

husband, she has carried the responsibility to take care of two children, by working as a cleaner in a

government hospital.She desired to perform the Haj pilgrimage, but the transition to cost very much,the omission of her late husband is not enough for her to continue her intention. in the hope

of her salary of 800 ringgit a month is not enough for her to perform the hajj on the

next 2 years. She only managed to save 100 ringgit a month from her salary.

Scene 1 : At the Hospital

In the everyday Mak Jemah Thinking how she would get more money to fulfill her desired. Until one

day

Scene 2 : At Kedai Runcit

On the next day, Mak Jemah starting her plan with happiness and excited feeling, she went to the Kedai

Runcit, she purchased some materials to make a kuih with a capital 50ringgit only..

(Mak Jemah dialog) holding her grocery list

(Mak Jemah dialog) gossiping

(Joyah dialog) say goodbye(Mak Jemah dialog) whispering (teasing)

(Mak Jemah action) stealing some sugar and flour

with innocent face, she go to the counter and pay the material that are in her basket only(Mak Jemah dialog) asking

(Kedai Runcit Owner dialog) calculate

(Mak Jemah dialog) impressive

(Kedai Runcit Owner dialog) teases

Scene 3 : At Gerai Kuih Mak Jemah

On the next day, In the early morning she has opened a gerai kuih in front of her house near the

junction. a variety of kuih was made by her, all is to attract the passing customers to stop there and buy

her kuih.

(1st Customer with husband) realize

(Mak Jemah dialog) promoting

(1st Customer with husband) confirm to buy

(Mak Jemah dialog) whispering (intention to decrease the quantity of kuih)

The customer had been paying without notice the quantity of Kuih that they just bought, and then there

is another customer that come to see the Kuih Mak Jemah and asking the price of a some Kuih that Mak

Jemah Sells.

(Mak Jemah dialog) answering

Customer) shock/unacceptable

(Mak Jemah dialog) lies

(2nd Customer) surrender and buy

The last customer had no choice, she desperate to eat the kuih and had to buy it with higher price that

Mak Jemah put on her Kuih.

Scene 4 : At the Bank

After 2 years Mak Jemah business, from her halal and haram source and the way she make effort, she

has gain a lot sufficient savings. One day Mak Jemah went to the Tabung Haji Bank to bank in her saving,

as she arrived to the front of the Bank door

(Mak Jemah dialog) Happy smelling money

Suddenly!!!

(Snatcher take action) Snatch Mak Jemah handbag

(Mak Jemah action) Mak Jemah falls

(Mak Jemah dialog) shouting and appeal the snatcher to turn back her money

After the incident happen, Mak Jemah was repent and she got a guidance of Allah from the incident, she

realize that what she have did before has the Hikmah. And now she was starting from the beginning to

collect the money with the halal and more ethical way which is with the blessing from Allah and

continue her intention to fulfill the hajj pilgrimage.

::Moral of the story::

Every human has to make decision and not easily choose the easy way to get successes, from the story

Mak Jemah show us that her ethical way in business she was use from haram source that combine with

the halal earning can lost the barakah from Allah and then the result from her bad did in ethical way

business show that Allah guide her back to the Islamic way to find sustenance from the halal source at

once realize her about disadvantages evil act.

Conclusion

As the conclusion, Islam encourages mankind to enjoy the bounties offered by Allah (s.w.t), provided

that these bounties are not used in forbidden activities and in an excessive manner. Since wealth is a

favour from Allah, it is to be treated properly; it should not be abused, misused, destroyed, wasted, or

laid idle. Allah (s.w.t) says in the Quran:

Kul lu wasro bu min rizki Allah tagh sau fi, arl di muf si din

Meaning

Eat and drink of the sustenance provided by Allah, and do no evil or mischief on the (face of the)

earth
