Business Systems Analyst, IT Services (Job # 2018-044-IE)

Department: IT Services Status: Full-Time, Permanent Date Posted: April 18, 2018 Date Closing: May 2, 2018, 4:30pm Number of Positions: 1 Scheduled Hours/Shifts: 35 hours per week, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday Salary: $ 70,105 - $ 85,308 per year

Position Purpose: Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology Services, the Business Systems Analyst is

responsible for the implementation, operation, support, and maintenance of a portfolio of enterprise business systems. The

Business Systems Analyst will work collaboratively with business users, vendors, and other IT resources as part of a cross-

functional project team to optimally configure and deliver new application solutions to the organization. In addition, the

Business Systems Analyst will serve as the technical subject matter expert and act as the escalation point for Tier 2 support

requests for select enterprise business systems.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• University degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of relevant experience/education in a related field

• Minimum 5 years of progressive work experience in the Information Technology field with an emphasis on business application software implementation, administration, and technical support

• Exceptional SQL database skills and demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Reporting Services (SSRS), and Integration Services (SSIS)

• ITIL v3 Foundation and Microsoft certifications such as MCSE, MCTS, and/or MCSA would be considered an asset

• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), and Microsoft Access development would be considered an asset

• Working knowledge of server and network infrastructure, operating systems, Active Directory, and mobile technologies and hands-on experience using command-line scripting languages to support process automation (e.g. PowerShell, Perl, etc.)

• Demonstrated practical experience with the implementation and support of ERP solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics GP with hands-on application design, development, and customization expertise

• Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics GP security model and database schema would be an asset

• Working knowledge or experience with any of the following packaged applications would be considered an asset: WordPress, CLASS/ActiveNet, LandManager, iCompass Agenda Management

• Knowledge of Accounting practices such as reconciliation, month-end, year-end procedures and account structures

• Knowledge of current and emerging technologies with the ability to evaluate and recommend the integration of new technologies into a complex IT environment

• Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail

• Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to establish and maintain effective consulting relationships with internal clients in order to provide exceptional and timely customer service

• Good time management and ability to effectively deal with multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines

• Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to interpret complex technical concepts

• Possession of a valid Ontario Class "G" Driver's License
