Service Birmingham Business Transformation Survey

Background In April 2006, Birmingham City Council embarked on the largest Business Transformation

programme in UK local government to revolutionise the way that the Council delivers services to people who live, learn, work in, or visit Birmingham.

This is a long-term programme for the Council that seeks to save £1 billion over ten years through more efficient ways of working.

Service Birmingham, a joint venture between Birmingham City Council and Capita Business Services, is contributing to the delivery of the Council's Business Transformation strategy through its Business Transformation team.

The Service Birmingham team conducted its first global survey on Business Transformation amongst Council staff in February 2010.

The results of the survey are to be used to report how the Business Transformation programme is delivering and working, and to inform strategy on how to shape both business change and the communication supporting it.
