EGO BUTYL SEALING TAPES are accurately profiled, plastic sealing tapes that have been in use as an adjunct or alternative to the conventional extrudable sealants for more than 30 years. They comply with the recommendations for use of IVD Instruction Sheet No. 5 (IVD = German Sealant Manufacturers’ Association). International test certificates and expert opinions confirm the outstanding properties of the EGO products.

Packaging Options Based on our many years of experience we have developed excellent packaging options. In addition to the standard packaging in boxes practical, reusable packaging is available that consists of environment-friendly materials and will be permanently available. • Outer cartons to protect intermediate layers and packaging units • Cardboard discs (printable on request) for butyl sealing tape rolls• Vertical cardboard supports to stabilize the butyl sealing tapes • Plastic roll holders for the safe transport of jumbo rolls• Wooden interlayers for the safe transport of butyl sealing tapes

Material in Drums Butyl can be supplied in specially adapted qualities in 200 l standard drums for further processing on drum melters. Processing options for butyl in drums can be found in a wide variety of industrial applications. Butyl in drums features a flow temperature of 125 °C. We will be glad to adjust other flow temperatures on request.

Due to its cross lamination the HDPE film features excellent tear and tear propagagtion resistance. Covering seal for construction and connecting joints in a wide vari-ety of construction and civil engineering applications as well as for sealing building components in contact with the ground. Equally suited as nail sealing tape for roofs. To improve adhesion on sensi-tive substrates we recommend to use EGO Bonding Agent LF and/or EGOPLAST FK. As a supplementary product for EGOTAPE 4000 EGO FOIL 4000 (without butyl, Article No. 612100080) may be used. EGOTAPE 243 is a preformed, permanently plastic, solvent- and bitumen-free sealing tape. It is designed to bridge tolerances providing load transfer and additionally sealing properties. Uniform, non-elastic load transfer between pre-cast concrete inspection shaft rings during the assembly of inspection shafts for underground sewers and similar applications acc. to DIN 4034 Part 1. Levelling unevennesses of the substates EGOTAPE 243 prevents inspection shaft rings from cracking when exposed to static and/or dynamic loads, particularly traffic loads. EGOFORM is a kneadable, easy-to-shape butyl sealing compound for the plastic sealing of drainpipes manufactured from metal, pla-stics, clay, fibre cement and concrete, pipe and cable penetrations in walls and ceilings as well as for similar installations.
