slavery she tried to help her friend escape and it did not work. The slave owners caught her and they got mad so they threw 2 pound metal weights on her head , she had to get surgery for that.

When Harriet was escaping slavery she used the UNDERGROND RAILROAD. Then after discovering what it was and that every slave could use it to escape ,she started helping people escape by using the UNDERGROUND RAILROAD!!!

EARLY LIFE!!!Harriet Tubman was born in the year of

1820. She was born into slavery. She was an African American who helped hundreds of slaves in the southern united states escape to freedom. She became a famous leader/conductor of the UNDERGROUND RAILROAD. The UNDERGROUND RAILROAD was a secret system that helped slaves escape to the northern United States, or to Canada.

Marriage and JobsHarriet Tubman was married to John Tubman

a free black man in 1844. Harriet worked with slaves to help them escape through the Underground Railroad. She helped many slaves escape without getting caught. She soon after had her picture and name posted on a wanted paper. She got scared but she survived by running from the people after her. She never got caught so she was very successful to me!!!
