C-FB ISD Students Out-Perform State on CollegeEntrance Exam
(CARROLLTON, TX) The overall composite score for the
Carrollton-FarmersBranch ISD (C-FB ISD) seniors taking the American
College Test (ACT) in 2011was higher than both the state and the
national scores.
Dr. Bobby Burns, superintendent of schools, said, "College
readiness is animportant aspect of our focus on increasing student
achievement. Our district willcontinue to equip our students with
the rigor, skills and knowledge needed forhigh achievement in the
area of college readiness."

The ACT is an achievement test with four content exams including
English,reading, mathematics, and science, plus an optional writing
test and is used as acollege entrance exam. More information about
