DAY 6 SATURDAY Fresno h Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks h Bakersfield (193 m/311 km)Continental Breakfast. Follow into the steps of explorer John Muir and visit Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. These two parks lie side by side, united by the scenic Generals Highway, and encompass the most rugged portions of the Sierra Nevada. The landscape testifies to nature’s size, beauty, and diversity - huge mountains, rugged foothills, deep canyons, vast caverns, and the world’s largest trees, Sequoiadendron giganteum. In all the world, sequoias grow naturally only here, on the west slope of the spectacular Sierra Nevada, in some 75 groves that tower above the surrounding forests. In the early evening, arrive in the small town of Bakersfield, an “All-American town” in the Southern Joaquin Valley and home of the Bakersfield Sound.

DAY 7 SUNDAY Bakersfield h Death Valley National Park h Las Vegas (378 m/608 km)Continental Breakfast. Today you will visit Death Valley, the largest national park in the continental U.S., with its most famous sights: Zabriskie Point, Furnace Creek Visitor Center, the Borax Museum, and Badwater - the lowest point below sea level in the western hemisphere, an incredible scenery basking underneath the world’s hottest sun. Continue to the man-made paradise of Las Vegas and for one evening enjoy this boomtown resort, featuring non-stop casinos, fabulous entertainment, great restaurants and attractions.

DAY 8 MONDAY Las VegasContinental Breakfast. Enjoy a day of leisure in Las Vegas. Visit some of the spectacular hotels, take one of the many optional excursions offered or simply relax by the pool. Las Vegas has something for everyone, so take the whole day to explore this world-famous city.

DAY 9 TUESDAY Las Vegas h Los Angeles (269 m/430 km)Continental Breakfast. The morning is free to enjoy Las Vegas. Relax at the pool, shop or visit any of the many attractions in this bustling resort. Option to end the tour in Las Vegas or, around noon, depart west through the deserts of southern California. Arrival in the Los Angeles area in late afternoon.
