Instructions: Poster judging will occur July 26 from 2:30-4:30pm at the Tinkham Veale University Center Ballroom. You must be present when Judges arrive at your poster to be considered. Monetary prizes will be awarded at 6:00pm following the keynote address during the start of the general poster/networking session.

Winners will be invited to present a one-minute “elevator pitch” as a “Case CCC Distinguished Trainee” to the Cancer Center Membership the following day, July 27, at Corporate College East beginning at 11:45am. This will look great on your CV! In addition, winning posters will be displayed in a special poster session for the evening of July 27 from 4:50-6:30pm during the final wrap-up reception. If you intend to accept this invitation and present your “elevator pitch” and poster the next day, we need you to be present for the award announcements on July 26th at 6:00pm, so that we can notify you and be sure you will be available the next day.

The “elevator pitches” will be timed and you will be cut off if you exceed one minute, so practice and time your pitches. Your “elevator pitch” may be accompanied by one PowerPoint slide to be displayed in the background while you speak, it should be self-explanatory so that it will enhance your pitch.

Abstracts must be 500 words or less and fit on an 8 ½ x 11” paper with 1” margins on all sides. Include the title and authors at the top, acknowledgements at the bottom. You may have one (1) figure or one (1) table both in black and white, and illustrations must fit on the same page as the abstract text (can be different than slide for elevator pitch).

The Retreat is open to members of the Case Comprehensive Cancer Center. Students, postdocs, and fellows may only attend if they present a poster. Advance registration is required.
