In the past people used to talk about skilled work. In fact “workmanlike manner” was the only way in which work could have been generally carried out. It was also a philosophy of life, people used to live their individual existence and their day to day life pursuing perfection.

It was a “not written rule”, a rule passed over the centuries only by word of mouth and it enabled young apprentices to learn how to deliver work properly and to be appreciated.

When we at Scatolifi cio Udinese started to study the Quality System and Total Quality, we had in mind this traditional “not written rule” of delivering work to the highest standard. Finishing and special working

Finishing UV off set coatingDescription UV off set coating is a unique

technique to create an endless range of solutions impossible to achieve with traditional printing. UV coatings can be formulated to a wide variety of gloss ranges.

Finishing Hot foil stamping processDescription The metallized foil is stamped on

paper / cardboards thanks to a hot stamping machine which uses a die to impress the surface. Nowadays hot stamping foils are available in diff erent fi nishes and in many special eff ects in addition to the more traditional gold, silver and copper fi nishes. Hot foil stamping enables you to add an impressive touch to any product.

Finishing UV silkscreen coatingDescription UV screen coating can be applied

on spot locations of the ink printed sheet. It can either be gloss or matt, according to the eff ect of brightening and highlightening or deepening the color. Special eff ects can be achieved by using a combination of both gloss and matt textures.

Finishing Embossing / debossing processDescription Embossing/debossing alters the

surface of paper / cardboard by providing a three dimensional or raised/indented eff ect on selected areas. A die is used to create the desired visual eff ect.Blind emboss does not include the use of ink or foil, but often it is used in combination with printing, foil stamping or UV coating.

Finishing Plastic laminating (matt, glossy, soft touch)

Description Plastic laminating involves bonding a glossy or matte plastic fi lm onto printed materials. It off ers many benefi ts: added protection, increased rigidity, enhanced ink colours and greater shine.
