This essay have introductory paragraph which have 3 sentences , body paragraph 1 which have 4

sentences , body paragraph 2 which have 3 sentences , body paragraph 3 which have 5 sentences,

and for the concluding paragraph , it have 3 sentences. This is a complete essay which has all the

organization of the essay starting from introduction to conclusion.

In this essay pattern, the effects of a certain situation are explained in separate paragraphs. For

the cause and effect essay, basically the author will write about the cause and the effect, but in

this essay, the author more discuss on the effect only.

The author explain the reasons and the result using cause and effect transition , the first effect ,

the most significant effect , the second main effect .

PARAGRAPH

The author mentions the main idea or topic sentence at the introductory paragraph. The author

did not write the topic sentence in the first sentence, the author writes the topic sentence in the

second sentence. I can see the author states the topic sentence that generally introduces the

information that follow in the supporting sentences of the paragraph. Before the author moves to

another paragraph,the author using a connectors to link each other. There a 3 body paragraph and

the author tell different effect for each paragraph. Lastly, the concluding paragraph, the author

giving his opinion about conclusion of the effect and the solution.

Introductory Paragraph (3 Sentences)

Present Situation : opinion Dating is a very common practice among teenagers,

but some of them don’t even know what to do or what

not to do.

Present Situation : effects The purpose is to discuss the three main effects of

“ standing up your girlfriend on a date”

know what happens if you stand up your girlfriend on a

date

Body Paragraph 1 (4 Sentences)

The first effect (Topic sentence) The first effect of standing up a girl is that she will be

waiting for you at least 20 minutes

Example During this period of time she may start thinking why

you did not appear


Depending on the girl, she will think of good reasons of

why you did not appear, understand you, and forgive

you.

But most of the girls will go crazy and want to kill you

slowly and painfully after the first 10 minutes of

waiting for you.


The second effect (Topic sentence) The second main effect of standing up your girlfriend

on a date would be that she may never talk to you

again.

Example This is maybe a very reasonable action after you stand

her up; at least you should make a phone call to tell

you are not going to be able to go

Sometimes even if you make a phone call, the girl may

feel too offended to understand any reasons, and she

may stop talking to you.


The last effect (Topic sentence) The most significant effect of standing up a girlfriend

on a date is that she can have a bigger brother with

very bad temper.

In this case not only your possibilities of dating a girl

again are in danger, but also your health.

If by accident you stand up a girl on a date, explain to

her why you could not go; that way at least she will be

less angry.

Example 1 Be aware of this especially if she has a big brother.

Example 2 Many times getting stood up is such a big deal for the

girl that she tells all her friends and family.

If she has a bigger brother with bad temper, run

because this can be the last time you stand up.

notice are very dangerous affecting your further

possibilities of dating again, so you better avoid it.

Summary of the essay : solution Every time you are thinking of dating someone, plan

what you can to have a good date, and never stand up
