PREPOSITION OF PLACE/POSITION. We use the preposition of place to show where someone or something is.

Imperative form… LISTEN TO THE CD!!!

DON’T SPEAK!!!

We form the imperative with the base form of the verb.

- Write in your notebooks!!!

- Close your books!!!

We form the negative form with don’t + base form of the verb.

- Don’t speak!!!

- Don’t cry!!!

Open your books, please.

We use the imperative form to ask someone to do something.

- Talk in pairs.

We can use “please” to be more polite.

- Close the door please.

- Look at the board please.
