The purpose of the Censuses of Population and Households is to identify the characteristics of the population thus making it possible to plan and organize public services (construction of hospitals, roads, location of school, social policies...) and private activities (installation of supermarkets, banks...). They are carried out in compliance with EC Regulation No. 763/2008 of the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union.
