ActualityThe Republic of Kazakhstan has one of the world’s largest gaps in life

expectancy - Life expectancy at birth 67.0 (2011).In 2010 proportion of older people aged over 65 is 7.5% of the total population.Experts predict that Kazakhstan population of aged 65+ will increase to 11.5% in the proportion of older people by 2030. In this situation will we be ready to

provide older people with social support?

Aral Sea disasters

Experts believe that the ecological disaster has displaced more than 100,000 people and

affected the health of more than 5 million

people throughout the region

There has been a dramatic spike in

anaemia, brucellosis, bronchial asthma,

typhoid - at approximately eight times the national

average, and in tuberculosis (Conant

2006). The influence of climate

change on health indicates the necessity to

initiate actions on mitigation and

adaptation.

fields of sciences as Gerontology and Social Work.
