1872, simply became known as the Chartered Accountant Mayfair
Institute of Accountants to reflect the new national coverage ;
3rd Manchester Institute of Accountants, formed in February
1871, [1]4th Association of Accountants in England (1872) [1];
5th Sheffield Institute of Accountants (1877) [1].
In the Institute of Chartered Accountants Hall, City of London,
was designed inItalian Renaissance style of Chartered Accountant
Mayfair John Belcher in 1890. Itwas built by Colls & Sons. [3]
It is widely considered one of the finest examples of
Victorian architecture of the Baroque.
In 1948, the Institute received a Chartered Accountant Mayfair
Supplemental Charter.
In 1957 merged with the ICAEW Incorporated Society of
Accountants (founded in1885 as the Incorporated Society of
Chartered Accountant Mayfair accountants and

In 2005, the ICAEW sought to Chartered Accountant Mayfair

(CIMA) and Chartered Institute of
