20 - 055Lithium Bromide Catalyzed Highly Chemoselective and EfficientDithioacetalization of α,β-Unsaturated and Aromatic Aldehydesunder Solvent-Free Conditions. — Catalytic amounts of LiBr inthe absence of solvents are found to be efficient for the dithioacetalizationof aromatic or α,β-unsaturated aldehydes. Keto functions are not affectedunder these conditions.
