In the context of exploring the utility of (difluoromethylene) phosphonates for the synthesis of new compounds of biological interest, the stereoselective preparation of the title phosphonates through the coupling reaction of an intermediate phosphinyldifluorozinc bromide with alkenyl halides, catalyzed by CuBr, is examined. A variety of alkenyl halides is used in order to explore the scope and applicability of the method. In addition, it is found that this reagent system is also applicable to radical addition of the ( difluo- romethylene)phosphonate moiety to terminal acetylenes. — (YOKOMATSU, T.; SUEMUNE, K.; MURANO, T.; SHIBUYA, S.; J.
