Background

The School Bill is the entire process of managing the billing of enrichment programmes and school charges.

This is being rolled out progressively by MOE to all schools and is targeted for full implementation by 2019.

MOE is introducing the Edusave Enrichment Programme Standing Order (EPSO) prior to the School Bill.

Edusave Enrichment Programmes Standing Order (EPSO)

• The Edusave EPSO is a one-time authorization obtained from parents/guardians for EdusaveWithdrawals for local and overseas Enrichment Programmes.

• This is similar to how parents/guardians use GIRO to pay school fees, except that deductions in this case comes from the child’s Edusave account.

• School staff will need to collect the Edusave EPSO just once.

• This authorization will be in force for all levels and school years as long as the student studies in a Government or Government-aided school.

• With the EPSO set up, schools will continue to obtain parents/guardians’ signed consent for their child/ward’s participation in the planned EPs, without which no Edusave withdrawals shall be made.

• No additional form will be sent to parents / guardians’ consent for Edusave Withdrawal authorization.
