SCIENCE CLUB presents “SCIFASHION

Oral Care

The Day. Most awaited among CMP OHCV students and even parents. It is indeed a day allowing children experience an encounter with the dentist, letting them enjoy their oral care thru fluoride and oral prophylaxis application. They even had a proper tooth brushing demonstration by 2 volunteer teach-ers from Sweden prior to the procedure. That same day children from children’s village also had their dental care appointment wherein a dental follow-up care is rendered among children with pre-vious recommendation from the dentist. They also received dental check-up, cleaning, fluoride and oral prophylaxis, tooth extraction, tooth filling and seal-ant. An improvement has been noted by the dentist among our children with regards to their oral health. Every six months’ oral check-up is provided among

our beneficiaries in children’s village to ensure continuous prevention as well as treatment. Dental care is only acquired by those who are

able to afford this expensive oral procedure but

with the help of volunteer dentist we are able

to provide a continuous oral care service among

CMP children.

Last December 4 and 5, 2019, Child Development Program conducted a kid’s camp with the theme “CONQUER”. 150 campers ages 8-14 years old from churches within Rodriguez Rizal and Caloocan areas came and experienced fun, joy and additional learnings through Bible stories, team building activities and a lot more.

We had reached our aim of telling the children that we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us from Roman 8:37.

As we make it more simple, the flow was focused on asking the child’s own way of dealing with their life challenges.

Using different kinds of illustration from the Bible through the characters of Gideon, Ester, Elijah, Mesach, Shadrach and Abednego, campers realized that whatever situation comes their way they had the assurance that God sees them and He will help them in conquering it. Their respond is to trust God and His own process.

As a result, these children surrendered their lives to Jesus and accepted Him as thier personal Lord and Savior.

On our last day, we

celebrated the victory of

God’s activity. To God be the

glory!

As we talked to them why do they want to be a member of ULE they said that they want to learn something new not just to a plain mother doing house-hold chores and taking care of chil-dren.

The new group got inspired by Pag-asa group in the community. They also want to be united and active with the activities that we have for the members of ULE. The group named them Friendship group.
