City & Guilds 2365 Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation Why Electrical Installation? The course will give you the understanding, skills and knowledge for domestic, commercial and industrial installations. It will prepare you for further electrical qualifications and is delivered in conjunction with the NVQ Award for those who gain an apprenticeship to allow transfer across on to the NVQ award. Entry Requirements: GCSE Grade C/Grade 4 or above in English, Maths and Science. What will I learn?

Health and Safety in electrical installation Electrical installations technology Electrical Installation, wiring systems and enclosures Electrical science and principles Communicate with others within building services

How will I learn? Learners will be assessed on line for each module; two of the modules are assessed through written papers and practical activities. The College will also provide you with additional practical and work-related qualifications to ensure that you can develop your skills to the highest levels making you more attractive to employers than ever before. Maths & English: Full-time 16-18 year olds who do not have a Grade C/Grade 4 or above in Maths and/or English, will attend weekly sessions with specialist tutors to work towards the relevant qualification(s). This is really useful to support you on your main course and is really valued by employers.

Work Experience: As part of your programme of study you will be expected to complete 1 week of work experience. You will be supported by the college’s placement officers to find you a suitable employer. What can I do after my course? This course will allow you to progress onto:

Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation Level 3 NVQ Apprenticeship in Electrical Installation Employment

Kit & Uniform: As part of our commitment and support and to prepare you to be work-ready, your kit & uniform will be free! You will be required to wear a uniform in all practical sessions and use appropriate kit (where required). Financial Support: You may be able to get help to pay for Childcare, Trips & Visits and Lunches. This is based on household income and certain other eligibility criteria.
