Who was involved in the Civil War?The Civil War was fought between the Confederacy (Also known as the Confederate States Of America or as The South) and the Union (known as The North)

The Confederacy were the 11 states that succeeded from the United States To keep the practice of slavery.To make their own states rights and laws. The Union were the remaining 23 sates who stayed with the United States without slavery. Although with the exception of the five border states who may have kept slaves but stayed with the United States.
