The Extra-Curricular Music Program at Clairvaux MacKillop College is a dynamic and ever – growing

department dedicated to ensuring students have every opportunity to develop and achieve in their

creative arts goals. Students who are interested in pursuing instrumental tuition at the College should

consult the Instrumental Music Program Handbook and submit this form to Mrs Beattie.

If there is an instrument that your child is interested in that is not on the list, feel free to contact Mrs Trish Beattie directly to

discuss the matter further. Please note: Harp lessons are not offered at the College.

* - to some extent, music theory is included in all instrumental lessons. If you would like specific focus brought to this aspect you may choose to

enlist your student in Music Theory tuition also. Music theory lessons develop and extend on understanding classroom music concepts and in

preparation for external theory exams.

** - Music Technology looks at recording and producing sound with side aspects of composition if relevant or requested.

For sections 1- 4, please TICK as appropriate:

Note: Please pay particular attention to the listed fees payable in the Instrumental Music Handbook when completing sections 1 and 2.

1) Lesson format: Private Group ( 2-3 students/group)

2) Student Instrument: Can provide own instrument

Beginner - New to the instrument or in the first 6 months of lessons

Intermediate - Has been learning for approx: 1 - 4 years

Advanced - Has been learning for 5+ years and may have done exams
