CLEAN AND DIRTY

MAGIC 2005 BY MASSIMILIANO CHERCHI

CONTENT: HUSBAND AND WIFE EQUITY YES POCKET NO PALMING

Page 2: Clean and Dirty Magic

HUSBAND AND WIFE Queen of spades turns her head but the king of spades is fugitive and appears elsewhere. Set-up The king of spades is the top card of the deck (clean magic). Performance I ask to spectator to take a side by side position with me, in front of a table. From the deck I take 4 cards but don’t show the faces (the four queen) and ask to the spectator to turn one of this cards (turn not for show faces but only to turn side as in picture)

and reinserted it. The four cards are shuffled and put on the table. Then I take the deck and spectator touch a card that is put on top of the deck and turned to show it’s the king of spades (double lift).

The king is turned on top of the deck to show again the back and then put (indifferent card) on the table at the right of the four cards. The deck is put into case that is put on the table at the left of the four cards.

Now what happened is incredible. The four cards are turned face up and I thank the spectator because the only queen with the face that looks toward the king is the queen of spades. I give credit for spectator (few people know that the queen of spades looks different from other queens).

I ask for spectator to turn over the single card, but it’s an indifferent card! Where’s the king…? I take away credit for spectator because husband is flees from his wife. Then I turn over the top card of the deck and it’s the king of spades!!!

EQUITY This is a real knock out, an effect that I have been performing for several years with great response. Performer shows 4 jokers with red backed. With a snap of fingers the joker at the bottom of the cards become a card with a blue backed that the performer put on top of the cards. Now counting…all the cards are blue! The top card is put in pocket but it come back with the others. Again the back of the cards become red but the performer for equity put 2 cards on the left and 2 on the right of the table. Spectator takes the cards and 2 are blue and 2 are red…equity! Set-up I use dirty magic, but you finish clean. 4 jokers (2 red backed and 2 blue backed) and a double backed card (red/blue) in this order from top, face up: J(red back)-J(blue)-J(red)-double backed card with blue side face up-J(blue)

(the other side) Performance The cards are face up in my left hand, the top card show a joker. With an Elmsley count the spectator see 4 jokers, then I turn the cards and again with an Elmsley count show 4 red backed cards. Then I take the bottom card but it’s blue!

I give this card to a spectator for control and then I put it face up at the top of the cards. While I talk of the strength of the colours my little finger break under the top 2 cards. Top card is turned to show a blue backed card (double lift).

Page 5: Clean and Dirty Magic

I make an Elmsley count to show 4 blue backed cards. I take the top card and put it in my pocket but I turn the cards face up in my left hand and the card is returned. The joker is come back!

The jokers face up are in dealing position in left hand arrange face up from top: J(b)-J(r)-J(b)-J(r). Now I show 4 red backed cards…the first is a double lift to show a red back and then joker face up (blue back) is put on the right of the table. The second is a double lift that I make with the bottom 2 cards after that the top card have been moved a little towards the body. The third and the fourth are show and put on the left of the table. Spectator takes the cards and…equity!

sec. double lift

YES POCKET NO PALMING A 3 transposition to pocket with a final vanish. A same sign card transposition is strongest of 3 different sign cards! Set-up It’s clean magic. 3 indifferent cards in leg, face towards the body, 2 in the right pocket and the third in the back right pocket. Performance A spectator sign a card and I put it at the top of the deck. While I speak, the little finger of the left hand drawn down the bottom card and the thumb of the right hand hold the break.

The index of the right hand cut the deck and the top portion is take and let in dealing position in the left hand. Fingers of the right hand push out the top sign card of the half in the left hand (leaving the break bottom card on sign card) that immediately turned to show face up of sign card. Index of right push the sign card to range it with the others then left hand turned palm up and thumb put top card lean out on the portion in the right hand. Now the portion in left hand, join with the half in right.

Page 7: Clean and Dirty Magic

I ask for a finger of a spectator and the assume sign card is put on the table under the finger. First transposition : from the right pocket I take a card and put at the top of the deck. While spectator see card under finger I turned top card face up (double lift) and it’s the sign card.

Second transposition : complete turnover of sign card (double), take top card and put it under the finger of the spectator. Now my body turn around to show in my back pocket the back of a card that I let lean out for half from pocket. While I come back to give my face toward the spectator my right hand take top sign card of the deck and pretend to take it from pocket (the indifferent push in). Third transposition : I put the sign card in front right pocket, lean out for half (reality the indifferent). I pretend to think another thing and put the card from pocket in the deck. In a flash the sign card is in the pocket again!

The vanish : the sign card is at the top of the deck in dealing position in the left hand. Thumb push out the top card toward the side of the deck, lean out. The hands together pretend to put the card on the table under the right hand, in reality what happened is that the thumb range the card in the deck while the right hand put the palm on the table. I put the deck on the table and the left hand touches the right hand and the sign card is vanish!
