The future is bright and possibilities are endless. Plans for a second container terminal, expansion in ICT, prospect of further rehabilitation and expansion of rail facilities, dedicated bulk terminals, a passenger terminal, a modern hospital to serve the port and its community are but a few of the plans to be implemented. Though challenges abound in the maritime sector hard work, planning and dedication continues to move the port in its vision to be the maritime gateway to the sub region.
